| Diffusion and filtration both require a very thin membrane in order to function correctly. Diffusion can be seen in the linings of capillaries and the air sacs (alveoli) of the lungs while filtration is best demonstrated by the kidney's glomeruli (thin filters that produce urine from the blood). This is not the answer that I was looking for, however! Lets return to the original question. |
