Jasper Barber started Nomad Ltd in 1987 as a single store in Boulder, Colorado, a popular area for many types of outdoor recreation. Jasper set out to create a store offering affordable, high-quality outdoor supplies. After opening two more stores in Colorado, Jasper began to expand Nomad Ltd nationally. In 1991 we introduced the Nomad line of outdoor equipment, and 1993 saw the first Nomad adventure tours.
