CST 106 - Email Assignment (15 points) Due
By: 1/30
Phase 1: Gathering Information
Write down the email address of one of the people you are sitting next to.
Phase 2: Writing it Up
Brainstorm technology you have used in your past. The technology doesn't necessarily have to be computer-based and could be something you used on your own, in school, at a job, etc. You will type a two-paragraph write-up in MS Word or other word processing program about the technology. Use the following format: *
Paragraph 1 - Your first paragraph should describe the technology (limit to two pieces of relevant technology), how it was used, why it was beneficial, etc.
Paragraph 2 - Now, take yourself out of "student mode" and imagine you are a teacher with your own classroom. The second paragraph should discuss how the technology could be integrated into your classroom environment. You might discuss the types of activities or subject-area your students would be involved in while using the technology.
*
If you are writing about more than one piece of technology, I assume
that your paragraphs will be longer or you will have more than two paragraphs.
Phase 3: Sending it Off
You will email your write-up to your classmate and myself using the Delta.edu email system.
Phase 4: Getting Credit for Using the Email system.
Once I receive your email, I will reply back. Do NOT delete my reply. For turn-in next Monday, print your original email, my reply, and your attachment. Staple them all together.
* Obviously, you need to send me your email prior to next Monday (1/30). I would suggest that you send the email to me no later than Saturday (1/28) to insure that I have adequate time to respond.
